I am on thyroid medication. Can I use Ener-C Sugar-Free, since it has added Iodine?
Each sachet of Ener-C Sugar-Free contains 150 micrograms iodine (from sea brine) which helps to support normal thyroid function. If you have any serious medical conditions relating to your thyroid or are taking prescription medicines, it is best to discuss with your healthcare professional.
What is Ener-C Sugar-Free sweetened with?
Ener-C Sugar-Free is flavoured and sweetened with real fruit juice powders, and small amounts of the natural sweeteners erythritol and stevia. Stevia is derived from the leaves of the stevia plant. It is considered very safe by all authorities and has no impact on glycemic levels. Erythritol is a fruit-derived alcohol (not that kind!) sweetener and is also very safe. In fact, it is considered the best option from among the sugar-alcohols as it has no effect on the stomach. Also, erythritol has a very fast metabolism rate and is completely out of the body within 24 hours (unlike regular sugar, which can stay in the body for weeks).
Is Ener-C Sugar-Free safe for diabetics?
Yes! One of the most common requests we get is from diabetics wanting to take our product and this is one of the main reasons we made Sugar-Free – we want our formulas to be available to all adults looking for a way to choose and live healthier, every day.
What kind of Vitamin C is in Ener-Life vitamin drink mixes?
Different forms of Vitamin C are used in each of the product ranges. They are combined with other ingredients in the formulation to achieve optimal performance.
In our Ener-C range, we use a mineral ascorbates mix, which includes: Calcium Ascorbate, Zinc Ascorbate, Chromium Ascorbate and Potassium Ascorbate as well as a small amount of ascorbic acid to create effervescence.
What is used to flavour Ener-Life vitamin drink mixes. Are Artificial Flavours used?
Believe it or not, the bright colors of Ener-Life’s different flavours come from real fruit and vegetable juice powders. For example, if you notice small orange dots in the Orange flavour, they are from beta carotene, and the purple tinge in the Tangerine Grapefruit flavour comes from purple sweet potato powder.
